This looks like a really nice new game, but from my first few attempts it seems like it suffers from the same issues the solfegiator and interval bark games suffer. It requires almost cent-perfect singing, which is just not really something I'm capable of. It barely recognized my answer as correct when I just held a long C with my voice for the first level.
Interesting - when I try check my voice against a tuner I'm always off by a noticeable amount (relative to an instrument), yet the games have been mostly kind to me (although I do frequently need a few attempts to get it right).
Just give us the possibility to choose a note and try to sing it. Also no need to counting 4 … for what? After I can myself choose a note and sing it. Best would be the mid tone of my natural voice, to sing it stable for at least 10 seconds. After that, I can start singing higher or lower note. After I am stable at 1 octave, I should be able to let the computer choose a note from that range. So, my ear is first TRAINED to hear the basic notes.
For someone, who never did that, it starts to advance and also, as I told, its to slow and therefore “boring” … for what this useless counting to 4?
Give US the control, which note the individual singer wants to learn and than give US the control, to set a range, where the computer can choose in that range.
Melody jay is not working accurately for me, i sing the right note and the algorithm doesnt recognise the note.
