Making the change from Playing by Ear to studying Music Theory is both frustrating and rewarding. I find my past experience useful but not necessarily a solid foundation.
True, as is the change from drawing midi files by what sounds good, to recognizing and understanding compositional elements banishing the trial and error hunt for the right things while producing :S🕵️♀️👨🏫
