I've got a couple of problems, anyone else seen these? 1. Mic doesn't register for Solfege game, at all. Works for the other one. 2. Stuck on level 41 of Chordelius, can't distinguish sus2 and sus4 for the life of me. I've started to wonder if they're actually playing inversions, but I might just be bad at this. Anyone have tips for overcoming this one?
I finally discovered a trick that works for me for distinguishing sus2 and sus4. And no, they're *NOT* inversions!
First I have to identify the highest note being played (the 5th of the chord), and sing all the major scale notes from the 1st to the 5th, to position myself mentally (e.g. for C, C D E F G). Then I sing the 2nd note and the 4th note while playing the sound of the chord. One of those will sound like it's not in the chord and one will sound like it's in unison with one of the chord tones.
I'm still not able to just hear the difference without doing this, but it's a start. I was finally able to pass level 41.
e.t.a. well I'm still having some trouble applying this method but it seems to work some of the time!
great advice you found out yourself. Once I am able to sing precise enough I'll definitely try and use it. This method seems like it'll gonna be helpful for every other chord, too!! But yeah, gotta train singing precise enough and confident for it to make sense. If I sing a m3 and think it was a p5 it's not really working 😅
I still am unable to do any solfegiator exercises because my mic input isn't recognized at all. I have to just sit and wait for myself to fail 3 times to be able to continue.
If you have a digital piano with external monitors, try not only to crank the volume, but also try other sounds. I found the the electric piano sound, like a rhodes, kinda, is pick it much cleaner to the solfage game that the organic piano sounds, even at lowest volume. Maybe has to be with the cleaner wave sound, I don't know. Hope you find it useful.
Gabriel, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. I'm supposed to sing the notes in the Solfège game into my microphone, which is connected to my computer's main audio interface. You use a keyboard instead?
And I don't understand what the issue could be. I've tried this on old and new versions of macOS, and my singing works fine for the interval game, just not for this one. No reaction to my voice at all.
I get what Gabriels point is, but just like you am puzzled to see how it relates to either of your problems.
I've reread and thought about it again, though I'm a windows user and literally only ever touched a mac once. But Depending on which browser you use, the permissions for accessing your mic, or the in your case connected audio interface as the input device maybe different for the page/url_handle for Solfège game than for the other games. I use chrome and I can individually set permissions for basically each domain, sub domain, or even landing page inside a sub domain. Maybe by accident or unaware of it you changed it, happens to me, too... Stupid pop-up, no I don't want any notifications from this random website I visit 3 mins later why the hell is my mic not connecting😂😂
For the Chordelius I just realized while writing, you already found a solution😅
Honestly man, level 41, damn. I struggle at level 10 with the dim, Aug, and newcomer 7. What I don't get though, in the olympic as well as in the practice I can tell them waaayy better apart. Sus2 and Sus4 in particular, almost a 90% accuracy for those, but dim and Aug and 7? nope 😵🤷♂️
I checked the input settings in the top bar in the browser and it says it's actively feeding my audio interface's input into the web page. I also checked the javascript console and there are no error messages. I never refused access or anything like that, and as a web programmer I've never heard of access control more specific than subdomain, although maybe it's a new thing that exists!
Audio for singing is not being recognized on my iPhone as well
1 props
