I find the Rhythm courses infuriating to work with because of how they are entered, not what i am reading. Anybody else have this same complaint or possibly a solution I am unaware of? I am able to read complex random rhythms from RhythmBot with no trouble at level 5 complexity with mixed rhythms https://rhythmbot.app/ but the Rhythm course in here needs a better way to enter the notation that or a background where we can actually see the boxes where the rhythms need to be entered. If anyone has a solution please let me know. i find this frustrating.

I was finding the rhythm courses very frustrating too, but then I made a tapping adjustment rather than relying on the latency autopilot and it got a whole lot easier. It might help you too - here's how you do it:
Go to profile (top right), account settings, then training preferences, then scroll down the page a bit and you will see a heading Calibration. Choose tapping adjustment. Turn off the Latency Autopilot. Go through the Manual Adjustment process for your device. There's a screenshot of my laptop's manual adjustment below so you can see. Yours will have specific settings that take into account how fast you can tap on your device once you are done.

Thanks for this,
its not the latency for me the problem is getting my mouse quick enough to the square i am suppose to tap it at, also it not being able to see the square. If it had a light background perhaps with an outline at least i would see it. Its interesting in the demo it has a light background. is there a way to change that?

I guess really i can just keep using RhythmBot, since i am a drummer anyway. Mainly a waste of time trying to get this thing working with just 1/4s and half notes, not worth the time. could be worth it to the developers though for others that do need this part of the course to work for them. Appreciate the thoughts though. thanks

I don't know sorry Ralph, maybe someone else in the community knows? Have you tried using the spacebar instead (if that's an option)? I use spacebar on my laptop for Rhythmania and Rhythmic Parrot and I don't need to locate the boxes, the game does it automagically for me.

Hey Ralph, I’m not sure if I’m understanding you correctly but it does not matter where your mouse is when you click as long as it is anywhere in the measure. In fact you can also just use the spacebar, the timing is all that matters not the mouse placement.

Interesting, well that's good to know. I will try that as well, if it won't i will just keep reading random rhythms on RhythmBot. BTW, this is a great tool RhythmBot.app that is. check it out, has a video on how to use it as well. its free.

Thank you to everyone on the hints on how to use the program. The Space bar worked famously for the Rhythm Parrot, thanks again!

Thx @Ralph Kolarik I didn't know about rhythmbot. Going to check it out. I'm stuck on Level 76 in Rhythmania. Cannot get the 3 sixteenths & eighth right. Driving me crazy!!

@Terri Winters I am also stuck for a while, level 68. I can repeat it if I copy the notation to Guitar pro and learn it by ear but I don't want to cheat and be stuck a level higher 😀. Do you guys count during these exercises or go just by feeling? Because this is quite fast I am not even able to pronounce one-e-and-a-two...

@Petr Hartmann: I practice it before hitting start. I set my metronome to the appropriate tempo and tap out the beat on my desk until I have it.

Also note that the tempos for eight-note beats are not correct. In the example, it says 150 quarter notes per second when it's really 150 eighth notes per second. So, in that example, you'd just be counting 1-and-2-and, etc. not 1-e-and-uh. So, it's just a fast dotted rhythm.

@Victor Wilburn and just like that I leveled up. Thanks for your advice. I switched on my metronome, slowed it down a bit and realized I was messing it up completely.

Some other ideas is to use this app online https://rhythmbot.app/, its free an you can hear the subdivisions. What i do when i practice with this app. is march in place at slower tempos, so that i feel all the down beats, after awhile you can feel where everything should land with or without the marching. Good to get it in your ears, body and mind. At least that is what works for me. This free app https://rhythmbot.app/ as far as i can tell is just in 4 but duple triple its all the same as long as you get it in you where the beats fall within that subdivision. 5th tuplets, 7 tuplets that a different story most likely you will need to hear those as well to get the same concept going this is a great app for that too. https://www.youtube.com/@SYNKDApp

Will give that a try. App looks very nice at first glance. Thanks, @Ralph Kolarik.
