I use Chrome everyday. It's never asked me about an app and a quick google search isn't coming up with anything. So I'm wondering if you might need to be wary of malware.

I agree about being cautious about malware. If you use apple products then generally speaking Tone Gym performs better if you use Google chrome as the browser

Hello, I am not 100% sure but if you're talking about this option available in any browser, this feature shouldn't give you any more functionality than the website apart from adding you a shortcut to your desktop/dock.

I added this site like an app on my iPhone Home Screen. Nice user experience so far

@Jeremy Gillard - that's exactly the thing I mean. Safari never asked me that, so I thought it was specific to Chrome.

With pleasure! This is normal, as Apple prefers to promote applications that go through the apple store to benefit from a percentage of sales. They don't get this benefit from web apps. That's why they hide the feature a bit, I think. However, it is also possible to add the app from Safari (like this).

@Jeremy Gillard - I noticed that in Chrome, I can use my MIDI keyboard to enter notes in games like Melody Hunter. Do you know if the same feature can be enabled in Safari?
