I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong in Rhythm Parrot! I calibrated my device, but I'm not really clear what I'm supposed to tap back. I keep scoring zero. When I try to see the answers, it won't show them. Feel like I'm missing something obvious...

Yeah, it's not a great *learning* app. Basically, you get four "measures" total, in 4/4 time initially (I haven't gotten past 4/4 at least). In the first measure, you get just the metronome beat to get you accustomed to the timing. In the second measure, you have to very carefully listen to the tones that appear with the same metronome beat and memorize where they are in relation to the beat. In the third measure, it once again plays just the metronome. The fourth measure is where you finally have to give your answer -- press the space bar to replicate the timing of the tones you memorized from the second measure. When you're off, it shows you (all too briefly) where the tones were, and where you actually pressed the space bar, and if their timing matched -- but only if the number of presses you made matched the number of tones. If they didn't match, all you get is a message that you had too many or too few presses.

I wish there was an exercise where you had to transcribe the rhythms you're hearing instead of just repeating it. Except for all thel the technical issues with this implementation, I usually have no trouble repeating what I'm hearing, but struggle immensely whenever I want to transcribe songs. One would think they are equivalent skills, but apparently not for me.
