It is also important that people who prefer the new version will comment

Or make 2 separate games? I don't feel either would be redundant.

I agree!….also is it just me or is it completely broken. I’m on level 29 and I’ll do the first two, which are M2 and m2, but when I get to M3, I can’t get passed it. I KNOW HOW TO SING A M3 INTERVAL!!! Lol

I also liked the old one better! two seperate games would be perfect!

The new version seems buggy as hell. I'm singing a M2 WITH THE PIANO and it's "wrong"

I try to sing an unison. It says "too small". How can a unison be too small?

So apprently it dosen't work on Vivaldi anymore? Its still supose to give you an audio-clue as to what interval to sing right? Both the old version and the beta version of the new one worked so i don't know what is going on. :/

Old version was indeed better

edit: Imo the biggest issue with the way the game was is no feedback. Pressing C after you get it wrong should let you practice the interval with it looping in the background.

I liked the old version and I like the new version as well... when it works. I *know* I'm singing it right but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I don't even know if it works, because sometimes I sing it right and sometimes I don't...

I agree with the two separate games idea....they really are two games and test slightly different skill sets. The old one is both intervals and tone matching, and the second one is just intervals with a bit of rhythm.

The new one doesn't seem to work at all... no tone is played, nothing happens when I "sing". Or I have no idea how to play it :(

Update: this game seems to go like follows. There's a "get ready" phase with 4 beats, and a "sing" phase, each with two halfs. In the prepare phase you can, well, prepare yourself and you are recorded and "graded" in the "sing" phase. What you have to do is come up with a root note (just make up a tone and sing it in the first two beats) then sing the indicated interval in the last two beats.

You can use, as indicated in the description, the life-rings to hear the interval before you sing.

It's all pretty obvious once you properly look at it, just wasn't expecting not to hear any tone. It would help to describe the exercise a bit better.

And indeed, the old dog was a different exercise in a way, and had its merit -- perhaps they could be both alternated or something.

I agree about these being two separate games. I'd be happy to have them both, but I miss that bar that tells me visually the relationship between what I sang and what I should be singing.

The new game seems to be working for me now, but it has not previously. Just now was the first time it registered what my voice was doing correctly.

I wish the new game was described better, too. (SoundGym has videos that are useful.)

I wish the old game had a practice tool that allowed you to slide up and down to whatever the interval note is. I think it would help me learn to calibrate.

I definitely think that both games can be useful, but the old dog is definitely more so. Not being able to choose your own root note and having to quickly determine the interval, is definitely better practice for real world application of the skill.

When in a quiet environment, are you still experiencing any major pitch detection issues?
