Pitch Ear Training

Musical notation represents the pitch and duration of musical sounds. In Western music the octave is evenly split into twelve notes. These notes are typically represented by the first seven letters of the Latin alphabet (A, B, C, D, E, F and G). The octave is completed by a further five notes that can be represented as either sharps or flats.
